Ronda Rousey has been one of the biggest stars of the Women’s Division ever since she made her way over to WWE back in January but it appears that the company could be hoping that she could help Total Divas to boost their ratings in the coming months as well.

Meltzer recently noted on The Wrestling Observer that Rousey could be set to join the cast of the E! Network series in the hope that this will help stop the current decline in ratings.

“It’s a smart move in that it ups the profile of the show, but they’d probably also have to change aspects of the show,” he said via Ringsidenews. “Some of the aspects like the scripted issues could say, but a lot of the show is still about setting up gratuitous bikini shots to promote the next episode during the regular shows, and while Rousey has done her swimsuit modeling in Sports Illustrated, that feels like the wrong fit with the character she portrays on the other shows. Then again, they had Lana as Russian on the regular shows and not Russian on Total Divas so in a sense they are seen as separate worlds.”

Total Divas has declined in ratings over the past few months and it has recorded a number of historic lows for the series with the likes of Carmella and Alexa Bliss no longer regular cast members.

This most recent series has been the lowest rated in the show’s history and many fans believed that if WWE didn’t find a way to fix the problem then it could have been canceled.

Rousey has done wonders for the Women’s Division on WWE TV and it appears that her relationship with Travis Browne could be a huge hit for the show.
