Ronda Rousey Makes WWE Live Event Debut, Comments On RAW Title Challenge

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion and WWE’s most recent main roster signing, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey finally made her WWE Live Event debut on Wednesday in Geneva, Switzerland.  Although Rousey was originally scheduled to square off against 5-time WWE Women’s Champion and 1-time WWE Divas Champion, Mickie James in a singles bout, she would eventually team up with Natalya & Ember Moon to defeat Mickie, Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan in tag team action.

Post-match, The Baddest Woman On The Planet said in a backstage interview that she had an amazing time and learned a lot, including how to stand on the turnbuckle for the first time to face the crowd. The following video shows Rousey standing on the turnbuckle which a first in her carrier.

Rousey is slated to make her United Kingdom in-ring debut when WWE returns to London in August, 2018. It was announced on this week’s SmackDown tapings at The O2 Arena that Rousey will wrestle at RAW’s house show at the venue on August 29, 2018.

TMZ Sports also caught up with Ronda in New York City this week and the former UFC star was asked regarding her match against RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax for the title at Money In The Bank on June 17, 2018.

“I’m over the moon about it. I really wasn’t expecting it, especially this soon,” Rousey revealed. “I’ve only had one match. I guess it’s a good strategy on Nia’s part, to try and get me early before I get a lot of experience but I think it’s going to backfire on her. I think everyone who’s watching Money In The Bank will be greatly entertained, regardless.”

Ronda’s title match was set up when Jax challenged Rousey at NBCUniversal’s upfronts this Monday.
