Ronda Rousey’s Total Divas Footage To Feature Road To WrestleMania

Ronda Rousey was officially confirmed as part of the main cast for WWE’s own reality show, Total Divas. Rousey will join the cast for the ninth season of the show, and it will be interesting to see the former RAW Women’s Champion in a different laid-back avatar, which will be quite different from her usual ruthless persona.

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey last competed in the WWE in April, when she starred in the historic main-event of WrestleMania alongside Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Even though Rousey has left WWE, it won’t affect her work on Total Divas. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsiderElite, footage for the upcoming season was shot earlier this year.

The ninth season of the show will feature the Road to WrestleMania for Rousey, who had a massive rivalry with Lynch and Flair leading up to the marquee event. Total Divas focuses on a superstar’s personal life, and Rousey will definitely have some interesting tidbits about her WWE career.

Until last season, the Bella Twins were the major highlight of the show, which will definitely change this season with the introduction of Rousey. The Baddest Woman on the Planet is the most successful female athlete in combat sports, and she has a much-more mainstream presence than every other superstar on the show combined.

It was recently rumored that WWE is interested in bringing back Rousey for a one-off appearance when SmackDown Live moves to FOX. Rousey has experience of working on FOX shows, as she starred in several UFC PPVs on FOX.

Love her or hate her, Ronda Rousey left her mark in the wrestling industry as a whole. It will be interesting to see how Rousey interacts with the other superstars on the show.

Total Divas returns for its ninth season on October 2nd, on E! network.
