On April 12, 2018, WWE made a blockbuster announcement for the Greatest Royal Rumble which shook social media and made the WWE Universe run wild. WWE officially announced The Undertaker vs. Rusev in a Casket Match for the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, 2018 which will mark the second match of The Undertaker since his “retirement” at WrestleMania 33 and return at WrestleMania 34 to square off against 16-time WWE Champion John Cena in a bout that lasted less than 3 minutes with The Phenom standing tall in victory.
The Casket Match was originally introduced by The Undertaker himself and till date The Deadman has been in 15 Casket Matches out of the total 18 Casket Matches that have taken place in WWE till date. April 27 will mark the 16th Casket Match in The Pheom’s career.
Following WWE’s announcement, The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev took to Twitter to address The Undertaker as his “brother” prior to their match at Saudi Arabia.
