Miro (f.k.a Rusev in WWE), made his return to professional wrestling at AEW Dynamite this week.
Kip Sabian revealed Miro as his Best Man for his wedding with Penelope Ford which will take place on Dynamite.
Rusev was released from WWE back in April and finished his non-compete clause in July, but it looks like his debut was delayed due to the star testing positive for COVID-19 last month.
This was Miro’s first appearance inside a wrestling ring since February when he teamed up with Humberto Carillo in a loss against Bobby Lashley and Angel Garza.
Miro was officially announced as a member of the AEW division through official AEW channels. He was part of WWE for over a decade and won several titles in the company.
The Bulgarian Brute debuted his new look with blonde and short hair, and it is unclear when he will make his in-ring debut for the company.
Miro won the United States Championship on three occasions in WWE and starred in several high profile feuds against the likes of Roman Reigns, John Cena, and AJ Styles.
Miro cut a promo where he spoke about spending 10 years in the same house reaching for an imaginary brass ring.
“Well, you can take that brass ring and shove it up your ass!” he shouted.
This signing comes just a day after AEW announced the arrival of Tay Conti full-time to the company.
