Sami Callihan recently announced on Twitter that he will be remaining with Impact Wrestling for at least two more years.
According to Callihan, while he had received offers from other promotions, he chose to remain with Impact and is aiming to become the Impact World Champion in 2021.
Callihan is currently involved in a storyline with Eddie Edwards which will probably continue for a while, but if he wants to regain the Impact World Championship, this New Year goal will bring him in conflict with the current champion Rich Swann.
Callihan had formerly worked in CZW and MLW as well as Evolve, Ring of Honor, and Pro Wrestling Guerilla. He was also signed with WWE, appearing as Solomon Crowe in NXT from 2013 to 2015.
He originally signed with Impact in 2017 and became Impact World Champion for the first time in 2019 before losing to Tessa Blanchard at the start of 2020 during the Hard To Kill pay-per-view.
