Sami Zayn Comments On The WWE Universe’s Criticism Of WWE Writers

Sami Zayn hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since Money in the Bank, when he lost his match to Bobby Lashley and was then written off TV so that he could have surgery on his two torn rotator cuffs.

As part of Monday Night Raw’s New Era unveil a few weeks ago, vignettes aired which stated that Sami Zayn would be making his return to WWE soon alongside Kevin Owens and it’s believed that the two best friends will be seen as free agents upon their return.

Ahead of his return to WWE, Zayn appeared on Talk is Jericho alongside Y2J himself, where he was able to discuss a number of interesting points, one of which was the fact that he believes fans don’t understand the process of wrestling behind the scenes.

“Man, people don’t know and you don’t know unless you’re there [in WWE]. Not to do with nothing, but I want to take this time to actually give the writers a little bit of a break because they get crapped on the most. People don’t understand how it works there.

“It’s not the writers, and it’s not the agents, and it’s not the talent. It just works a very specific way. And unless you’re in it, you don’t know, so it’s very easy to sit at home and go, ‘why are they pushing this person? Why are they doing this?’ It’s harder than you think. Cut everybody some slack. It’s tricky,” he said via WrestlingInc.

Zayn is expected to make his return ahead of or as part of Royal Rumble on January 27th but it is unknown which brand he will make his return to as of yet.
