Sami Zayn returned to SmackDown after several months of absence, and after creating controversy regarding the fact that he never lost his Intercontinental Championship, he finally managed to settle the matter when he defeated Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles in a ladder match at Payback 2020.
Zayn also assumed the role of the host of Talking Smack with Kayla Braxton, following the transfer of Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston to Raw, and has done very well so far.
Not everyone sees Sami Zayn as someone who can become one of WWE’s top stars, but after his recent return to SmackDown, it is clear that his intention is to become one of the top guys in the company, despite the fact that he continually complains that the company disrespects him.
Zayn maintains a certain relationship with the WWE Universe, both on and off-screen, and now that he has become the Intercontinental Champion, it’s unlikely to see that change anytime soon.
The former NXT Champion said that he is “on fire” after his return and rated himself 10 out of 10 in his work as the host of Talking Smack, a role he has taken these last two weeks.
“I’ve been really great on Talking Smack these past two weeks, just like I have been great on Smackdown since coming back. I’m kind of on fire. Not bragging, you know, just saying that I’m really good at everything when it comes to wrestling.”
