Sami Zayn hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since Money In The Bank when he faced Bobby Lashley in a one-on-one match and was completely dominated. It was reported after the match that Zayn was written out of WWE storylines following his loss so that he could undergo rotator cuff surgery and it is reported that he could be out of action until mid-2019.
Who ever said bi-lateral rotator cuff surgery wasn't fun? I get to wear a gown! pic.twitter.com/VTLNvd2r1c

It was revealed that Zayn was working through a number of injuries whilst he was on WWE TV at that time but was only pulled from shows when it was revealed that he required surgery on both of his rotator cuffs following a visit to Birmingham, Alabama following Money in the Bank.
The second surgery took place today and as shown above, Sami Zayn was seemingly in a good mood as he shared his status with the WWE Universe.
Zayn will be forced to rehab his injuries over the next few months and isn’t scheduled to make his return to the company until the spring of 2019.
His best friend Kevin Owens pointed out the fact that he didn’t know when Zayn would be seen again following Money In The Bank and has since pushed himself into a feud with Braun Strowman over his Money In The Bank contract.
Zayn has remained active outside of the company with his Sami For Syria campaign, which was the reason why he wasn’t part of The Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia earlier this year.
Zayn continues to work hard as part of his new Sami Relief campaign as well as his Sami For Syria campaign whilst he is unable to step back in the WWE ring.
