The Artist Collective struck gold at WrestleMania when their leader Sami Zayn retained his Intercontinental title over former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. With the help of Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro, Zayn retained his title on Night One of WrestleMania but hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since.
Zayn shared an update on Twitter earlier today and said that he had to undergo a dental procedure and his wisdom teeth pulled out. Zayn said that he is on a diet right now and is ‘ripped to shreds’, a possible remark at the wrestling community, who haven’t got used to his new dad-bod look.
Zayn’s buddy, Cesaro, wrestled against Daniel Bryan on this week’s SmackDown, in which the leader of the YES movement reigned supreme to qualify for the Money in the Bank matchup. Nakamura and Cesaro also interfered in Braun Strowman’s Universal Title celebrations last week, which saw Nakamura take on Strowman in the main event
Zayn will join his buddies soon enough, as he will be on the lookout for his next challenger.
Zayn’s Artist Collective could also be under threat as the new mystery hacker has been targetting tag-teams recently. After releasing footage which led to Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose’s breakup, the hacker teased a new reveal this week, and featured New Day, The Usos, Bliss-Cross and Bayley-Sasha.
A fan actually broke down the hacker’s voice, which was manipulated to keep the identities a mystery. After reverse-engineering the voice, it seems like there are not one, but two men at work. Mustafa Ali and Shorty G (Chad Gable) were revealed to be the hackers according to this die-hard fan, and it could end up being true!
Ali was widely rumored to be the hacker, but the addition of Gable surely adds more intrigue to the story. Both the individuals have been absent from WWE programming for quite some time and tagged up together for a short stint a few months ago.
