Sammy Guevara Faces Heat For Derogatory Comments Against Sasha Banks, Issues Apology on Twitter

The #SpeakingOut Movement has seen several WWE, AEW and other indie wrestlers come under the radar for their objectional behavior over the years. Although a lot of main-event names haven’t come up in this movement, Inner Circle star Sammy Guevara has found himself in hot waters.

Guevara’s comments from January 2016 are currently trending worldwide after a tweet was posted earlier featuring Guevara’s audio. The Spanish God was heard making derogatory comments about the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks.

Guevara appeared on The Whole F’N Show‘s January 25 2016 episode of RAW podcast. While talking about Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch’s losses to Charlotte Flair, Guevara mentioned seeing the Boss during a stint with WWE at that time.

“Bro, Sasha Banks… oh my God. When I was at the WWE the other week I wanted to just go f–king r-pe that woman,” Guevara said.

Guevara, who was 22-years-old at that time, was still starting out and hadn’t had any notable success in his career. His comments are facing tremendous backlash from the internet wrestling community, and won’t go down well with his current employers.

Banks is currently the top trend in the United States following the release of this audiotape. Guevara issued an apology on Twitter earlier today.

Banks also Tweeted saying Guevara had apologized and they had an open discussion about this.

Guevara’s colleague, Jimmy Havoc, is also facing allegations by an anonymous accuser. AEW put out a statement that they will be evaluating his position after Havoc undergoes rehabilitation.
