Samoa Joe was brutally assaulted by the Seth Rollins-AOP alliance on the Christmas Eve Eve episode of Monday Night RAW. Akam and Rezar sent The Samoan Submission Machine crashing through the announcers’ desk to conclude the beatdown.
Cagesideseats reports that WWE is planning a huge babyface push for Joe upon his imminent return to the ring.
“Samoa Joe is expected to get a big push upon his return to the ring, which will be any time now.”
Joe has been out of action owing to a thumb injury, but he managed to carve a new niche for himself during his time away from the ring. The former United States Champion has done a remarkable job on RAW commentary and the WWE Universe can’t get enough of his sharp, no-nonsense, informative deliveries.
Brock Lesnar wrestled his last match of the decade at Survivor Series where he defeated Rey Mysterio to retain the WWE Championship. The Beast has since been on a hiatus and is yet to return to WWE programming.
WWE’s first pay-preview of the new year, Royal Rumble takes place just a month later and Lesnar will be back in due time to advance the build for the grand show.
According to Cagesideseats, The Beast will return “early” next year.
“The Observer notes that Brock Lesnar will be back soon. It should be early in the new year.”

In October, Bayley debuted her brand new heel persona and defeated Charlotte Flair on the same night to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the second time in her career.
During a recent interview with Detroit News, Bayley discussed her transition into a heel role that included chopping off her iconic seven-year-old ponytail.
“It felt great. I knew what I wanted to do and I knew what I needed to do. But the actual snip of the ponytail, I was a little in shock. My hair was the longest I’ve ever had it, and I’ve had that freakin’ ponytail for seven years. The last time my hair was this short, I was 10 years old.”
