San Diego Declares “Rey Mysterio Day”, Master Of 619 In Talks Of A 3-Year Deal With WWE

6/19 has been officially declared as Rey Mysterio Day by the City of San Diego in honour of WWE’s high-flying legend. On the big day, Mysterio appeared before the City of San Diego City Council to thank everyone for providing him with this honour and making it possible. NBC San Diego reporter Fernando Ramirez was there to cover Mysterio’s big day.

Mysterio said that he will turn 44 in December and is still going strong. The Master of 619 appears to be closer to a full-time WWE return. The former WWE Champion said,

“I’m getting ready to go back to possibly a WWE contract. We’re talking about another 3 years if my body hangs tight and holds on.”

Mysterio currently has more dates scheduled with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) but is ready for a WWE return provided the terms of the contract are to his satisfaction.
