The WWE Universe was shocked by the announcement that Sasha Banks was injured and was being pulled from the Mixed Match Challenge back in September, but it appears that her injury may not be as bad as first thought.
The Boss’s injury remains a mystery since WWE has opted to keep the details secret from the public and instead it was recently reported that Banks had actually asked for some time off from the company.
According to WrestlingInc, the former Raw Women’s Champion is now being advertised for a WWE Live event in Portland on October 20th, which is just a week before Evolution and she is also being advertised for Raw the following week, even though it appears that it could be a dated listing that was made before her injury was announced.
Banks and Bayley were working well as a team against The Riott Squad on Raw until her injury was made public knowledge and it was thought that the two women were the favorites to go on to be the first ever Women’s Tag Team Champions, which is something that could still happen if Banks is able to return in time for Evolution.
Speculation has been rife surrounding Banks and her reasons for being sidelined in recent weeks, which is why it’s hard for many fans to make judgments on when her return will be since the nature of her injury is unknown.
Ever since her time in NXT, Sasha has been part of the Women’s Revolution and it’s thought that if she had the opportunity to make her return to the ring to be part of history once again, then she would jump at the chance.
