It was thought that WWE would take advantage of the fact that the women took center stage at Evolution so that they could introduce Women’s Tag Team Championships for the first time since the 1980s.

Even though Evolution was seen as a huge success, the Tag Team Championships were not unveiled and the women of WWE now continue to wait for Championships that would make their division much more competitive.

Beth Phoenix was part of Evolution and recently Tweeted out an image of the poster that WWE has been handing out at recent live events that the company was hoping would drum up some support of the Tag Team Championship belts when they are finally added to the show.

Phoenix agrees that WWE needs Women’s Tag Team Championships but when she shared the image on Twitter earlier today she gained an unexpected reaction from The Boss.

Banks laid down the challenge for Beth Phoenix and her Divas of Doom partner Natalya to take on Sasha Banks and Bayley for the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Many fans were disappointed that Phoenix was confined to the commentary booth at Evolution last Sunday night whilst Natalya was part of a six-woman tag team match that also included Banks and Bayley against The Riott Squad.

Phoenix is a WWE Hall of Famer and someone who deserves the chance to be part of one more match and if that allows her to team up with Nattie one more time, then it would obviously be perfect for the former Women’s Champion.

Phoenix is yet to respond to the challenge, but if it was a legitimate challenge for a match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, then Beth Phoenix and Natalya would definitely be up for lacing up their boots and teaming together one last time.
