A year ago, Sasha Banks was upset at WWE for not pushing her. In 2020, the company finally pulled the strings when Bayley turned on her best friend.
Sasha defeated Bayley at Hell in a Cell pay-per-view this year to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion. She is currently set to face Raw Women’s Champion Asuka at Survivor Series in a Champion vs Champion match.
Recently, The Boss spoke to DigitalSpy where, amongst other things, she talked about main eventing WrestleMania in the future. Banks said headlining the show with Bayley would be a “dream come true.”
“Whether that’s Bayley at WrestleMania, whether that’s Liv Morgan, whether that’s Ruby Riott– it could be anybody,” Banks said. “But, of course, to main event WrestleMania is still one of my biggest dreams, and to do that with Bayley would be ultimately a dream come true.”
Both superstars have had a long history with each other in WWE. They have been each other’s best friend, their rival, and also Women’s Tag Team Champions.
This rivalry was once rumored to headline WrestleMania too, and it wouldn’t be shocking if in future WWE books these two women to headline the pay-per-view.
