There’s been a lot of talk surrounding The Revival and their future over the past few months since it was made clear that Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder would be welcome at AEW and their WWE contracts were due to expire.
The former Champions are yet to re-sign contracts with the company despite WWE offering them big money to stay. Rumors have suggested that The Revival is unhappy about the current Tag Team Division in WWE which is why they are happy to walk away but WWE has tacked more time on Dash Wilder‘s contract after he sat out with a jaw injury a few years ago.
In an interesting turn of events, Scott Dawson recently Tweeted quite a cryptic message to tell fans the Revival would be going away for a while until they have everything figured out. Randy Orton was teasing a move to AEW before he re-signed with WWE last year, so right now Dawson and Wilder’s future is unknown.
As former triple crown Tag Team Champions, The Revival is considered to be one of the best teams in WWE but it’s common knowledge that they want to share the ring with The Young Bucks.
Dawson and Wilder have also been quite outspoken about the fact that they are not holding out for anything from WWE when it comes to a new deal, which could be why they are yet to sign. The duo have been part of some shocking storylines including the one with The Usos where they were seen shaving each other’s back before they were the victims of heat spay in their gear.
If the former Champions were looking to walk out of the company now and this Tweet is a hint that they are following in the footsteps of Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, and Shawn Spears, then there aren’t many fans who would blame them.
