Several WWE Superstars missed the live events this weekend due to injuries despite being advertised for the shows.
John Polock of Post Wrestling reports that 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Seth Rollins is dealing with an issue that occurred during the segment with WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar last week on Monday Night RAW. The Beast absolutely destroyed The Kingslayer with 6 devastating F-5s.
Rollins was replaced by Dean Ambrose at the house show in Saskatoon, Canada.
At this point, Seth has been removed from all upcoming live events and isn’t expected to appear on RAW this Monday. The Kingslayer will be doing promos only and nothing physical for a month in order to recover.
Sasha Banks isn’t medically cleared for action after her title match with RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at Royal Rumble but is expected to be back in action in time for the tag team match on RAW.
The Boss will be teaming up with Bayley to take on Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross in a qualifying match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship match at Elimination Chamber.
Former WWE Champion AJ Styles is reportedly “dinged up” but is expected to be cleared in time for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
2019 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch is dealing with a kayfabe knee injury which happens to be the reason for her absence from Saturday’s live event.
The injury is purely storyline and The Man is selling it well by wearing a knee brace in public. The knee injury is an angle that will play out this week on WWE TV.
What’s interesting is that The Irish Lasskicker refused medical evaluation on TV and wrestling at Saturday’s show would have been a big contradiction to that play.
Stephanie McMahon recently invited Lynch to RAW. Both women are scheduled for a segment, so expect the injury angle to develop during the confrontation on Monday night.
