Seth Rollins Claims He Has “Unfinished Business” With Edge, Teases Potential Match

Edge made his miraculous in-ring return at the Royal Rumble and went on to defeat Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match at WrestleMania 36. The Rated R Superstar was forced to retire from competition due to a career-threatening injury in 2011, but his sheer willpower and grit allowed him to lace up his boots and return to the squared circle earlier this year.

During the first-ever Cutting Edge Peep Show in 2014, Edge and Christian were attacked by Seth Rollins and Big Show; The Architect held The Rated R Superstar hostage and forced John Cena to reinstate The Authority. Now that Edge is back, chances are that Rollins will have to pay for his past deeds.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Rollins discussed the possibility of facing the 11-time World Champion. The Monday Night Messiah claimed of having “unfinished business” with Edge and expressed his desire to wrestle him should the veteran issue a challenge in the near future.

“I can only assume that our paths will cross. I don’t know what Edge’s contract looks like, and I don’t know where his story with Randy Orton is going next, but I enjoyed their match at WrestleMania and I look forward to their match at Backlash.”

“If I were to guess, putting myself in Edge’s shoes, I would think he has some unfinished business with Seth Rollins. I can only assume, at some point in time, he’s going to come calling–and I would be happy to answer that call.”

Edge is someone I’ve admired for a long time, and he’s someone I’ve been compared to a lot of times in my career. It’s something I never thought was possible, but I think it would be a cool callback to the story you mentioned from all those years ago. Now that it’s on the table, I don’t see why we wouldn’t address it.”

Let’s see if WWE pulls the trigger on Edge vs Rollins down the line!
