Seth Rollins is a former Universal Champion on WWE’s Raw roster and has proved that he has quite the allegiance to the company through a number of Tweets where he’s pointed out that WWE is still the top level in pro wrestling.
Rollins recently took part in a SummerSlam Conference Call in order to build up The Biggest Party Of The Summer but of course, the subject of AEW and his former Shield teammate Jon Moxley also arose.
“We are going to knock them dead, just like we do everyone else,” Rollins responded when asked about the competition that the company brings.
AEW has proved that it can be seen as legitimate competition for WWE but it appears that Rollins isn’t worried about this since iron sharpens iron.
Rollins was also asked about Jon Moxley and his switch over to AEW, which is something that has made headlines over the past few months.
“I was surprised by it. I knew Ambrose needed time away from WWE, now he’s competition and trying to take dinner off my table & good on him,” via John Pollock on Twitter.
It’s unknown as to whether or not Moxley and Rollins are still in contact given the way that the former star left the company and debuted at Double or Nothing, but despite the fact that Rollins has some strong words for Moxley here, it could be argued that he sees this as a good sign of competition.
It was only a few weeks ago that Rollins guaranteed that he and Moxley would cross paths once again whether that’s in WWE or on the Independent Circuit, which means that there isn’t actually any animosity between the two men and they could both see this as healthy competition that will force them both to up their game.
