Seth Rollins Takes Shots At CM Punk, Challenges Him To a WrestleMania Match

Seth Rollins is the No.1 babyface in WWE currently and is slowly descending into the same rabbit-hole as his predecessor Roman Reigns. From repetitive promos to annoying tweets, the WWE Universe is turning their back on the Architect.

CM Punk called out Seth Rollins’ idiocracy during WWE Backstage this week and pleaded Rollins to get off Twitter. This came after Rollins had tweeted, “Fight me @CMPunk”, after Punk’s return to WWE programming last week.

Responding to the comments by Punk, Rollins talked about how Punk disrespected him and the business, in an interview with 101WKQX to promote the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Rollins said that Punk got destroyed in the Octagon and doesn’t want to ever fight anywhere post that embarrassment. He added that he has worked hard to get into his current spot, and he won’t let an individual who has stayed away from wrestling for five years to come and abuse him and his company.

“Say whatever you want, play it however you want, that’s what Punk always does, but at the end of the day if he wants to come on a show and run his mouth about me and a company that he has had no part of for five years, then of course I’m going to stand up for it. This is a place that has given me everything that I’ve ever wanted in my life, not only for me but has provided me a living for my family, for people that I love, that I care about and of course I’m going to have its back. I’m not going to sit here and let you push it around, push me around and act like you’re so cool. You couldn’t bust a cherry in a fruit fight, dude.”

Rollins said this match is WrestleMania main-event worthy and it should go down as the same.

“For me, the only place the match happens is WrestleMania in the main event. That’s the only reason I’m picking a fight with him, I’ve got no other interest than that. If he’s interested, it’s out there. Any time you’re ready, let’s go.”

It will be interesting to see how CM Punk responds to this on next week’s installment of WWE Backstage. Or maybe we could see a Punk appearance at Survivor Series?
