Seth Rollins Texted Daniel Cormier After UFC 226: “…Kick Brock’s A**”

Newly crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier received a text message from WWE Superstar Seth Rollins soon after his post match encounter with Brock Lesnar at UFC 226.

Cormier said that Rollins congratulated him for becoming only the second fighter in UFC history to hold two titles simultaneously, by defeating Stipe Miocic in a first round knock out.

He also said that The Kingslayer wanted him to go and “kick Brock’s a**” when they meet inside the Octagon.

Cormier told Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture: “Maybe that’s why he’s so mad at me; because I’m friends with Seth Rollins. I got a text message from Seth right after the fight. He goes ‘Congratulations, now go kick Brock’s a**.’ That is what I’m gonna do.”

The WWE Universal Champion entered the Octagon while Cormier was celebrating the victory and engaged in a physical and verbal altercation with the two-division UFC Champion.

Lesnar will be defending his WWE Title at SummerSlam on August 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York before his big fight with Cormier.

The opponent for Lesnar at Summerslam will be decided on next week’s Monday Night RAW when Bobby Lashley takes on Roman Reigns in a No.1 Contender’s Match.

Lesnar’s Universal Championship reign has been controversial due to his continuous “no-shows” at weekly shows and even PPVs.

It is to be noted that The Beast’s last WWE in-ring appearance was at the Greatest Royal Rumble three months ago in Saudi Arabia where he won a Steel Cage Match against Reigns in a controversial decision.
