Kenny Omega‘s name has been in the headlines over the past few months since it’s being reported that the New Japan Pro Wrestling superstar could be WWE bound, since his alliance with All Elite Wrestling has not yet been confirmed.
Omega has been linked with a return to WWE many times over the past few years but since he is seen as one of the best wrestlers in the world he has been holding out on signing that lucrative deal.
When Omega does finally make it over to WWE, he will definitely not be short of challengers since former World Champion Seth Rollins recently stated that the thought of a one-on-one match with Omega was very attractive to him.
Rollins recently appeared on The Rock 105.3 where he was able to point out that he had worked alongside Omega at Ring of Honor but the duo are still yet to have a competitive match.
“Kenny and I worked in Ring of Honor for a short period of time. We’ve never officially had a one-on-one match. The question was ‘if I could have a match with anybody outside of WWE, who would it be?’ The obvious answer was Kenny Omega. I’m all about testing myself against the absolute best,” he said via Ringsidenews.
Rollins is widely considered to be one of the best wrestlers in WWE at present and a feud with someone like Omega would definitely guarantee a place at the height of pay-per-view main events.
The question now remains as to whether or not Omega will be one of the surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble later this month, so that Rollins will finally be given his wish of a match against one of the best wrestlers in the world.
