Several WWE Wrestlers Refuse to Let the Company Trademark Their Names

WWE never leaves a stone unturned to lock down their superstars as much as they can, but sometimes the superstars outsmart the company.

WWE filed four trademarks in July, which are yet to be sanctioned by the Patent Ofice in the United States. The trademarks in question are for the following superstars – Drew Gulak, Pete Dunne, Tony Nese, and Justus.

The reason behind the non-acceptance is the refusal of these four talents to give their written approval for their names.

According to HeelbyNature.com, the company will lose out on the trademarks if they are not resolved within six months.

It is unclear why these superstars have not given their approval yet and could be looking to file their own trademarks, similar to Mia Yim.

The current Retribution member, Yim’s trademark with WWE ran into the same issue, and she ended up filing a trademark for her name.
