NBA legend Shaquille O’ Neal signed a brand new deal with WarnerMedia, which was covered by Variety recently. This new deal opens up O’Neal to several projects within WarnerMedia’s umbrella, including a potential appearance on AEW Dynamite which airs on TNT.
The deal is majorly based on the NBA coverage on the TNT network, which he is currently a part of. He will also be a part of Bleacher Report’s projects and will work on a new show for NBA TV.
The announcement also teased an appearance on Wednesday nights on the Jacksonville-based promotion.
O’Neal is a big wrestling fan and even made an appearance in WWE during WrestleMania 32’s Andre the Giant Battle Royal. He had a face-off with Big Show and later teased a match against him for several months before the plans were eventually dropped.
O’Neal is already teasing an appearance on AEW, as he spoke to the Athletic and expressed his intentions to fight former TNT Champion Cody.
“I’d love to fight Cody. Write it. Print it. Text it to him. Call AEW up and tell them.”
AEW recently featured another sporting legend, Mike Tyson, on their show, with a possible fight against Chris Jericho in the works. Shaq making a mere appearance will be a major headline for Dynamite and can help them push up the numbers.
