The WWE Universe is currently eagerly anticipating Shawn Michaels’ return to the ring at Crown Jewel next Friday, but it appears that there could be more to his return than meets the eye.
Whilst the money that he is being paid to make his return in Saudi Arabia is obviously a huge part of the reason for his return, but it could also put more wheels in motion.
Vince McMahon will be looking to step down from all of his responsibilities in WWE in the near future and it could then fall to Triple H to handle much of the company and who better than his best friend to have as his right-hand man?
It is believed that Michaels trip to Saudi Arabia is as a favor to Triple H and so that he can get a feel of the way that business is done.
Bryan Alvarez recently discussed HBK’s future on The Wrestling Observer, where he stated that he believes that Michaels is a huge part of WWE’s future.
“I believe that Shawn Michaels is going [to Saudi Arabia] yes, obviously because of the money. But it is being done in some ways as a favor to Triple H and the two of them are going to be doing a lot of things together when Triple H takes over. I think Shawn is going to have a very strong role in that company after Vince is gone. What that means, I don’t know but that’s the idea,” he said via Ringsidenews.
Michaels and Triple H will reunite as D-Generation X to take on The Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia next Friday, November 2nd.
