Shawn Michaels Hints At “One More Match” After 8 Years In Retirement

The Showstopper, Mr. WrestleMania, The HeartBreak Kid Shawn Michaels is known popularly known as Coach Michaels at the WWE Performance Center for his job with NXT as a television producer and being back to the business once again. With some provoking from best friend and for tag team/DX partner, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Michaels finally agreed to take up the role.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, The Showstopper was asked about a possible in-ring return and this time the 4-time World Champion had a different answer altogether.

“I’ve been retired for eight years now and when it got to the five-year mark I thought people would start asking me but they just kind of stopped. I think it’s one of those that you would never say never and if it was just for a one-off then it’s something that I would take a look at.”

“It could be possible,” Michaels continued, “but people would have to accept they wouldn’t be getting the Showstopper, Mr. WrestleMania, and that I’m 52-years-old now.”

Michaels also mentioned AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and Johnny Gargano topping his list of who he would like to wrestle but the WWE Hall of Famer eventually admitted, “for a one-off match now, I’d need it to be a tag team match with Hunter and I can just do a few crotch chops and have some fun.”
