WWE presents The Raw Reunion next Monday night, which is The USA Network’s idea to help the company to claw back the ratings. As part of the reunion episode of the show, WWE will welcome back the likes of Hulk Hogan, Triple H, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Alundra Blayze and even Shawn Michaels, who hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since Crown Jewel back in November.
It’s well-known that even though Michaels hasn’t been spotted on WWE TV since his match in Saudi Arabia, he’s been helping Triple H backstage and is also working with a number of future stars at the company’s Performance Center.
Michaels has become one of the most popular superstars in the world throughout his career since he’s considered to be one of the best of all time but he recently revealed on his Twitter account that he will be taking on a new role next week on SmackDown Live.
Michaels will seemingly appear on both Raw and SmackDown Live next week, but the former World Champion is sticking to his word by not returning to the ring after his victory over Kane and The Undertaker since he will be behind the commentary desk instead.
WWE hyped up Michaels’ return with the following update:
“with decades of wisdom under his belt, HBK will no doubt prove to be a must-see addition to the SmackDown LIVE announce team — and he might even kick a few people in the face on Raw as well, so that will certainly be worth tuning in to.”
There is no word yet on what many of the returning legends will be doing as part of The Raw Reunion but Michaels will definitely bring an air of experience to the commentary desk the following night on SmackDown Live alongside Corey Graves, Byron Saxton, and Tom Philips.
