<p>A new match for this Sunday&#8217;s Payback pay-per-view was officially announced during this Saturday morning’s episode of Talking Smack.</p>



<p>It was announced during the show that the New Day’s Big E will face off against the Celtic Warrior Sheamus at WWE Payback.</p>

<p>The match comes after weeks of backstage tension between the two men.</p>



<p>Big E has been looking to establish himself as a singles star while his New Day compatriots Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been out with injuries. He has also been trying to establish himself as a bit of a locker room leader, trying to rally the SmackDown locker room against Retribution.</p>



<p>Sheamus has been openly scornful about both the possibility of Big E succeeding without the New Day and being a locker room leader.</p>



<p>The tensions between the two led to a match on the last episode of SmackDown, where Big E teamed with Heavy Machinery and Sheamus teamed with Miz and Morrison.</p>



<p>Big E got the win for his team last Friday, but it wasn’t a decisive move in his feud against Sheamus, as it was with a pin to Sheamus’ ally The Miz.</p>
