“The Biggest Party of the Summer” is right around the corner and is set to stream live from The Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York on August 19th, ahead of the show,  WWE has finally released the poster for the event. Shockingly, the official promotional material only features the two biggest matches from Monday Night RAW, with  Alexa Bliss, Ronda Rousey, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar the only faces on the poster, which means that SmackDown once again hasn’t been given a place.

Whilst it’s easy to see why WWE would favor these two matches over what is set to be a stacked card, this shows that Monday Night RAW is and will always be WWE’s most dominant brand.

There was talk online about WWE’s ability to belittle the SmackDown brand after AJ Styles has failed to main event a pay-per-view since before WrestleMania, and now the WWE Champion and his new challenger Samoa Joe haven’t even been featured on the official poster for the event.

Is this more confirmation that Vince McMahon only sees SmackDown as the B-Show? SummerSlam is usually the pay-per-view that includes many faces on the poster, but it’s obvious that there are only two matches that the company want to concentrate on heading into next month’s pay-per-view which means that despite AJ Styles holding the WWE Championship around his waist, he still won’t be one of the main events on the night.

His match with Samoa Joe was officially announced last night on SmackDown Live when The Samoan Submission Machine attacked him from behind as part of the announcement made by General Manager Paige, but it appears that this wasn’t enough to warrant the two being given a place on the official poster.
