Last night on SmackDown Live, the company finally made the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match official for Money in the Bank where Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan will defend against former Champions The Usos.

The Usos lost their titles following WrestleMania to The Hardyz but Jeff Hardy was then injured which forced the duo to relinquish the Championships without allowing The Usos to be given their rematch. Shane McMahon then made the decision to hand the titles to Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan, even though The Usos decided to step up and try in vain to reclaim their titles.

Last night on SmackDown Live, The Usos teamed with their cousin Roman Reigns to take on Rowan, Daniel Bryan, Elias and Shane McMahon in a losing effort but it was still made official that the two tag teams would be facing off on Sunday night.

Shane McMahon takes on The Miz this weekend inside a steel cage, while Elias takes on Roman Reigns and The Usos now look to reclaim their SmackDown Tag Team Championships. The Rumor now is that the Tag Team Championship match could take place on the pre-show which means that Bryan would have gone from semi-main event at WrestleMania as the defending WWE Champion to the pre-show less than a month later which is quite shocking odds.

It’s interesting that WWE already gave Daniel Bryan his WWE Championship rematch against Kofi Kingston last week when he made his return from injury for the first time since WrestleMania, which is why he has been pushed into the Tag Team Championship picture over the past few weeks.

At least Bryan’s inclusion in this match means that there is now a spotlight on the Tag Team Division on SmackDown Live since the blue brand lost a lot of their teams to Raw as part of the Superstar Shakeup.
