Last year, WWE teased a potential lesbian storyline between Liv Morgan and Lana but things never went anywhere from there; as revealed later, the angle was devised to give fans a moment of shock during the on-screen wedding of Bobby Lashley and Lana.
WWE didn’t have any follow-up planned but it appears that a legit lesbian program could soon be gracing the ring later this year.
During a recent interview with New York Post, Sonya Deville stated that she is willing to include the LGBTQ community on television through a lesbian storyline.
The Jersey Devil is confident about the creative crafting a lesbian angle for her, and who knows, the plan might be executed as early as this pride month!
“I think anything’s possible. Especially this year, I don’t rule it out at all. Like I’ve said in the past, inclusion is important in every aspect of life, including sports entertainment, and I think that the company would agree on that. I think it’s definitely a possibility this year.”
WWE had also teased a lesbian storyline between Mandy Rose and Deville previously, but never quite followed up on it. Instead, they brought Otis in, followed by Dolph Ziggler, and split up Fire and Desire ahead of WrestleMania 36.
