On the March 10th installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated that if AJ Styles loses the WWE Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura at Wrestlemania 34, there is a fair chance of the Pehnomenal One heading to RAW.
According to Ringside News, Dave said, “Nakamura is getting a World Title match at next month’s pay-per-view. He probably shouldn’t be losing. I guess you could argue that if he wins, then they move AJ over to the other side. Which wouldn’t shock me to see AJ move because they were going to do that last year anyways. How many times can we watch AJ vs. Kevin Owens anyways?”
Meltzer further explained WWE’s natural trend of how the company requires someone equally qualified to fill the vacant spot when they move a top Superstar from one brand to the other. He popped up the name of Seth Rollins speculating that the Kingslayer could be the possible replacement for Styles if the Phenomenal One is moved over to RAW.
“Although if they move AJ, they better move somebody good to the other side. Maybe Seth? That could be one of the big names, I am speculating. When they do the moves, they usually – at least one key person from each side will move. If AJ is going to move, then Nakamura could win the championship, which would be something. Who would they go with Nakamura and Owens? Nakamura and Randy Orton? Nakamura did have a helluva match with Randy Orton on TV the one time they worked. There are a lot of different ways. We will see what happens.”
