WWE Raw: Randy Orton Turns on Ric Flair With a Brutal Punt Kick

Randy Orton took on Kevin Owens in this week's main event after Ric Flair seemingly talked KO into the match last week...

When WWE announced that the women of WWE would be given their first ever pay-per-view, the company also revealed that all Women’s Championships would be on the line as well. Whilst there are only two matches that have been made official for the event so far, neither of these is for Championships.

Alexa Bliss takes on Trish Stratus whilst Lita and Mickie James renew their rivalry in New York, but the first Women’s Championship match has now been made official for the show and will see Kairi Sane defend against Shayna Baszler.

This is perhaps a somewhat underwhelming announcement since the WWE Universe were aware that Baszler had to cash in her rematch for the title that she lost back in Brooklyn.

According to WrestlingInc, the announcement of this match was made at the most recent batch of NXT tapings which lead directly into the groundbreaking show.

The one good thing that comes with this match being officially revealed is the fact that WWE cannot stage the Four Horsewomen of MMA against the Four Horsewomen of UFC at Evolution now since Baszler has a match of her own.

Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir of the MMA Four Horsewomen and Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch from WWE all still await their matches for the event, but now WWE will have to wait until Survivor Series if they are hoping for this match to become a reality.

There are also rumors that this could be Baszler’s final match in NXT since a loss would mean that she no longer has a storyline. Baszler could then go on to join Rousey on the main roster which would definitely be an interesting format.
