Star-Studded Dark Match Followed This Week’s SmackDown Live & 205 Live Tapings

This week’s episode of  WWE SmackDown Live was an absolute roller-coaster for pro-wrestling fans.

The show featured “The Viper” Randy Orton finally declaring his intentions to eliminate Jeff Hardy from the WWE. Andrade “Cien” Almas picked up a big win over Rusev courtesy of a ringside distraction involving Lana, Aiden English and Zelina Vega. General Manager Paige fired James Ellsworth. Samoa Joe attacked AJ Styles from behind and signed himself as the challenger for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam in August.

Another SummerSlam title match was confirmed when Becky Lynch defeated Carmella and rightfully earned her shot at the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The show closed with The Miz tricking Daniel Bryan and hitting him with a Skull Crushing Finale when Bryan tried to crash the celebration for the premiere episode of “Miz & Mrs.”

SmackDown Live and 205 Live tapings finished up only to feature a star-studded Six-Man Tag Team dark match. WWE Champion AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan and Jeff Hardy teamed up to defeat WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) who made their return on this week’s show.
