WWE has officially announced the return of the “Talking Smack” review show. The popular segment originally aired after SmackDown and featured Renee Young and Daniel Bryan as hosts.
The revived edition of “Talking Smack” will be made available on the WWE Network on Saturday mornings, several hours after Friday Night SmackDown airs on Fox. It will stream on the free version of the WWE Network.
It was also announced that the new “Talking Smack” will have new hosts, Xavier Woods and Kayla Braxton. This adds fuel to the rumors that former host, Renee Young, is indeed on the way out of the company.
For now, Talking Smack is a pre-taped show, with reports stating that the first episode was filmed after SmackDown aired on Fox.
It’s expected that the taping schedule and air time for Talking Smack have been set that way to ensure that SmackDown has a chance to air on all markets before the review show airs.
Talking Smack originally aired right after SmackDown from August 2016 and July 2017. It was allegedly the inspiration for both Raw Talk and WWE Backstage. While Raw Talk is still available on the WWE network, Backstage was recently canceled.
