The Fiend took the fight to Daniel Bryan last week on SmackDown, when the show was filmed from the United Kingdom which set up what will be an interesting showdown at Survivor Series.

Bryan was in the middle of deciding whether or not he would be joining Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn as part of their group when he was attacked by the Universal Champion backstage.

Given the fact that there have been just three episodes of SmackDown since Crown Jewel and just one remains before Survivor Series, WWE has had to push this feud quite quickly and Bryan’s appearance on Miz TV this week as part of the show was where their match at Survivor Series was officially announced.

Of course, The Fiend’s reputation proceeds him and every star in the blue brand is already aware of what he did to both Finn Balor and Seth Rollins, which is why initially Bryan rejected the match, but after some mind games alongside his Firefly Fun House mates, Bryan accepted.

This means that the only matches on the card so far for Survivor Series that will not be settling any kind of brand war are the WWE Championship match between Rey Mysterio and Brock Lesnar and the Universal Championship match between Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan.

Since the main Championships are being defended in singles matches, the WWE Universe now await the announcement for Adam Cole‘s Championship defense for next weekend in Chicago.

Survivor Series is now just over a week away and it appears that the card could be full and the company could be focusing on the brand war since it was revealed by The Wrestling Observer on the latest episode that Bobby Lashley‘s storyline with Lana and Rusev would not be part of the show because the card was already stacked enough.
