The IIconics Making More Merchandise Sales Than Expected, WWE’s Big Plans For The Duo

WWE’s recent NXT call-ups, The IIconics (Billiie Kay & Peyton Royce) have already made a mark on SmacKDown Live since their arrival on the main roster and the duo has even exceeded expectations of the WWE Management in terms of merchandise sales.

A few weeks ago, WWEShop released a shirt for The IIconics and sources claim that the shirt has made more in sales than what the company had expected.

Reports suggest that WWE Management also has big plans for the duo. The current talks in the company indicate Creative turning The IIconics into the next or updated version of LayCool, a villainous women’s professional wrestling tag team consisting of former WWE Superstars Layla El and Michelle McCool.

Kay and Royce came to NXT in 2015 and during their NXT run, the duo captured the NXT Year-End Award for “Breakout of the Year” in 2016 and were both voted as “Female Competitor Of The Year” in 2017. Last month, The IIconics picked up their first victory on the blue brand by defeating Asuka and Becky Lynch in tag team action.
