The Viking Raiders have had their name changed twice since they moved to the main roster, and have struggled to find their feet in the poorly booked RAW tag team division.

They finally get a good challenge in the form of New Day, who will be appearing on RAW, courtesy of the Wild Card Rule.

The Viking Raiders are former NXT Tag Team Champions, who were drafted to the main roster during the Superstar Shakeup earlier this year. New Day have been bossing the tag team division for over four years now, and have won the tag-team championships five times in the last four years, including a 500+ day reign as champions.

The move to bring a fresh matchup between two quality tag-teams is a wise move and could help to improve the falling ratings. It remains to be seen if the new Executive Director of RAW, Paul Heyman has any say in these matchups.
