The Revival makes bold statement on Aleister Black & Ricochet
RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival has been on top of the world since capturing the gold from Bobby Roode and Chad Gable last month.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder now have two new opponents on their watch – Aleister Black and Ricochet.
Black and Ricochet beat The Revival a couple of weeks ago on Monday Night RAW but failed to dethrone the champs at Fastlane.
In a recent tweet, Dawson made a bold claim: The recent NXT call-up duo has been handed opportunities ever since their arrival in WWE’s developmental territory.
Plans for Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania
For the first time in 8 years, Rey Mysterio will be competing at WrestleMania.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Mysterio could be in for a United States Title shot at WrestleMania 35 but there’s another direction WWE might lead him in.
Mr. 619 and Andrade were earlier rumored to go 1-on1 in a Hair vs. Mask match at ‘Mania. Keeping the stipulation aside, the match could still be on the card.
A multi-man US Championship match featuring Mysterio, Andrade, Samoa Joe and R-Truth could be also booked for April 7.
Triple H addresses future of NXT Championship
Paul “Triple H” Levesque addressed the future of the NXT Championship during the March 13th NXT tapings at the Full Sail Arena.
Tommaso Ciampa was carrying the title when he was sidelined with a neck injury that required surgery. Blackheart went under the knife ahead of Fastlane and is currently on the road to recovery.
The show must go on and Triple H has come to a decision regarding the immediate future of the top prize in NXT.
Per The Game’s announcement, Johnny Gargano will be competing for the NXT Championship in a 2 out of 3 falls match at NXT TakeOver: New York.
To determine Gargano’s opponent, a high voltage match was held featuring Adam Cole, Aleister Black, Ricochet, Velveteen Dream and Matt Riddle.
Cole emerged as the victor and will now go on to face Gargano for the vacant title on April 6.
