The Rock Set To Wrestle At WrestleMania 35?

The Rock hasn’t really stepped into a wrestling ring since WrestleMania 32 when he had a short match with Erick Rowan. The People’s Champion was rumored to be part of the match between Ronda Rousey, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at this past year’s WrestleMania but the commitments that The Great One has outside of the company prevented him from making a return.

When The Rock wrestled John Cena at WrestleMania 29, he picked up an injury that forced the filming of Hercules to be delayed, which is why his production company have been against him returning and wrestling for WWE in recent years.  This was the reason why Kurt Angle was forced to take The Rock’s place at WrestleMania 34, despite the build-up ahead of the match concentrating on Rousey and The Rock as a team.

The Rock became the highest paid actor in the history of Forbes earlier this year and has been rumored to be making an upcoming appearance on Raw, but @TicketDrew once again Tweeted to point out that The Rock will be part of WrestleMania 35.

Of course, WrestleMania 35 is still more than nine months away, but WWE always books WrestleMania months in advance and could have a huge idea in mind for The Rock, especially since Elias has taken it upon himself to mock The former World Champion in recent months.

This is another rumor that should be taken with a pinch of salt until it’s corroborated by the WWE themselves or even The Rock, but it’s interesting that the former Champion would return to the company after so long on the sidelines, this means that WWE must have some big plans for him.
