10-time WWE Champion, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could make a surprise return at WrestleMania 34 and even wrestle a match, more accurately a short bout like his last fight against Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32, bookies suggest.

According to sources, The Great One may show up as an enforcer or a Special Guest Referee in the match featuring Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey against Triple H & Stephanie McMahon.

The Great One missed WrestleMania 33 and the rumours of the Brahma Bull making a surprise appearance at this year’s Showcase of Immortals run strong among the WWE Universe.

It was reported that WWE initially wanted to have The Rock team up with the former UFC Bantamweight Champion to take on the power couple of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in what might have been the ideal follow-up to the humiliation that the power couple had suffered at the hands of The Rock and Rousey at WrestleMania 31. However, as Johnson is in no position to compete due to Hollywood commitments, WWE decided to pick 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle to fill the spot. The Rock may still get involved in the action, rumours suggest.

The Great One has also been rumoured to feature in a singing segment with Elias.

WrestleMania 34 will air live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, US on April 8, 2018.
