The Undertaker has become one of WWE’s biggest legends throughout his career, which has spanned more than three decades. The Deadman’s future has been a hot topic of conversation over the past few months since The Last Ride documentary on the WWE Network has allowed the former World Champion to speak about his career out of character for the first time.
As part of the documentary, The Undertaker stated that he would know when it was his last match and he has been disappointed with his last few matches and has since been forced to wrestle more matches to redeem himself.
The latest episode of the documentary saw The Deadman share his thoughts on his Crown Jewel tag team match with DX where he partnered Kane and he didn’t seem happy with the way it came together.
Taker went on to claim that he thought about retiring following bouts against both Roman Reigns and John Cena at WrestleMania 34 and 35 but still went on to return to the ring.
Undertaker recently spoke to The Toronto Sun where he was seemingly less guarded about his WWE future and hinted that he would only return for another WrestleMania match if there was something juicy on the table.
“You never say never, but to make it to Mania again, it’s going to take something really, really juicy.”
The former World Champion also went on to hint that he has just one more match in him and that his next one could be his last.
“I feel like I’ve got a match (left) that is befitting what I feel like that the legacy of The Undertaker deserves, but the hard part is, if I grade myself, I grade myself on where I was physically in the early 2000s. I don’t grade myself on the curve of it being 2020 and being 55 years old.”
