The Undertaker’s undefeated streak came to an end back at WrestleMania 30 in one of the most famous matches of his career.
Brock Lesnar was able to get the better of The Deadman that night in one of the biggest shocks in WWE history, which later saw The Undertaker collapse as he made his way back through the curtain.
While it was known that The Deadman suffered a broken neck in the match against Lesnar, it appears that this wasn’t the case.
While speaking to Joe Rogan in a recent interview on the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, The Deadman revealed that he actually broke his neck before the match.
This means that the former WWE Champion was able to wrestle one of his most famous matches with a broken neck.
“They [doctors] take me back. My wife [Michelle McCool] and Vince [McMahon] are there in the waiting room. They come out, it’s the same kind of deal. They [doctors] go, ‘Alright, he’s broken his neck and we’re gonna give him another scan.’ Obviously, my wife is completely freaking out at this point. We come to find out they had read the scans wrong. It was an old break I never knew I had. I never knew it, I never knew it.”
