In the WWE Network’s documentary on The Undertaker and Kane titled Brothers of Destruction, both superstars shared their opinion on ‘The Streak’.
Kane said that he was mad at the decision. He felt that Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak shouldn’t have been broken at the hands of Brock Lesnar.
Undertaker was also under the impression that he was going to win the match against Lesnar. At the last moment, Vince McMahon informed him that he had changed his mind and Brock is going over at ‘Mania.
“I got to the arena that day and I was going over. I mean, we had gone back and forth and when I showed up, I was going over. Through the course of the day, Vince would come to me and say that he’s changed his mind. man, I was like, ‘Okay, I don’t think Brock needs it, but at the end of the day, it’s your show, it’s your call. If you’re sure about it, then that’s what we’ll do.”
In the end, Undertaker said that it should have been Roman Reigns who broke the streak and not The Beast Incarnate. His on-screen brother Kane agreed with him on this.
“I thought there would be somebody, like Roman. Roman would have been, I think Roman would have been fine.”
