The Viking Raiders have become quite a dominant force on the Monday Night Raw brand, but since they are the NXT Tag Team Champions it was obvious that they would be forced to return to NXT at some point to defend their titles.

The stars who are now known as Ivor and Erik returned to the developmental division last night as part of the most recent tapings and it appears that the Tag Team Championships are now vacant.

The show last night kicked off with The Viking Raiders and General Manager William Regal and the Champions stated that they were vacating the Championships because no one on NXT could beat them.

The Street Profits then stepped up and Regal decided that later in the show they would defend the titles against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. It was an interesting match between the two very different teams, but The Forgotten Sons and Oney Lorcan and Danny Birch made their presence known and caused the disqualification.

Interestingly, The Viking Raiders then came out on top in the brawl, saluted the crowd and left the Championships in the ring as they made their exit. The two stars didn’t return on any of the episodes of the show that followed so it appears that they will be promoted to Raw now full-time as an undefeated team.

Viking Raiders have become the butt of a number of jokes in recent weeks since they originally debuted on Raw as The Viking Experience since Vince McMahon wanted to take “War” out of their name.

The stars’ finisher is now called The Viking Experience instead, but this hasn’t stopped the WWE Universe from creating a number of memes aimed at the former Champions.
