WWE reportedly has no return date in sight for SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

Lynch suffered a broken face at the hands of “Facebreaker” Nia Jax on Monday Night Raw, the go-home episode of Survivor Series, when the blue brand’s women’s team rattled RAW’s nest and laid waste to their red counterparts.

This caused Becky to be removed from Survivor Series and be replaced with Charlotte Flair in the highly physical match against RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that currently there isn’t any return date for ‘The Man’.

“Yeah, [she’s] off of everything, no return date. Well, it’s a concussion. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss are still waiting.”

Despite a heel, Lynch turned out to be the hottest Superstar in WWE within a few weeks time since capturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair at Hell in a Cell.

The Irish Lasskicker is joined by Alexa Bliss, the 5-time Women’s Champion currently sidelined with a concussion. However, WWE is including The Goddess on televised shows by handing her managerial roles. Having served as the proud Captain of the victorious RAW Women’s Team at Survivor Series, Bliss is now on the road to becoming the next General Manager of RAW.

Becky and Alexa are hands-down the most prolific Superstars in the Women’s Division of SmackDown Live and RAW respectively. At present, WWE happens to be dealing with concussions more seriously than it ever has and it appears that both Superstars will have to stay away from the ring completely until medically cleared.

It would be interesting to see what WWE plans to do with the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the coming weeks. Royal Rumble is one of the big four PPVs where all titles are on the line. Perhaps, the best approach would be to host a tournament through/post-TLC that climaxes at Royal Rumble to crown the next SmackDown Women’s Champion.
