Three recently released WWE superstars have filed a series of trademarks this week which could hint to their post-WWE plans.
All three of the released wrestlers have retained the services of attorney Michael Dockins who will be handling their trademark filings. What’s interesting is, Dockins has become known as an attorney for AEW wrestlers seeking to trademark names and phrases.
Because of Dockins’ connection to AEW, there is speculation that this means that the released WWE wrestlers are on their way to AEW – at the very least it means they’re talking to AEW talent and possibly feeling them out.
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have filed trademarks for what appears to be possible future wrestling names with Dockins.
One filing is for “Chad 2 Bad”, on behalf of MG Karl Anderson, LLC. Chad 2 Bad was a name that was used in Southpaw Regional Wrestling by Anderson.
Another filing is for “Sex Ferguson” and the applicant is “Wrestlemerica, LLC” which is the name of Gallows’ independent wrestling company.
Another of Dockins’ client is Brian Myers, who was known as Curt Hawkins in WWE.
On behalf of Myers, trademarks have been filed for the following trademarks, “Never Defeated” and “The Prince of Queens”.
Dockins had previously filed trademarks for AEW wrestlers Cody Rhodes and Lance Archer. His services have also been retained by three other former WWE wrestlers, Matt Cardona (aka Zack Ryder) and the tag team The Revolt – formerly known as The Revival.
