Thunder Rosa shockingly lost her NWA Women’s Championship to AEW star Serena Deeb earlier this week, which fuelled rumors of Rosa leaving NWA and AEW to join WWE. Rosa herself teased a possible switch to WWE.
However, Billy Corgan, the owner of NWA, confirmed that Rosa is under contract until 2021, which means she won’t be leaving the company anytime soon.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Deeb winning the NWA title while being contracted to AEW was ‘notable’ and will enhance the working relationship between the two parties.
WON also confirmed that Thunder Rosa will continue to perform for the Jacksonville based promotion through her NWA contract.
This will come as great news for AEW fans, as their female division has left a lot to be desired.
