Thunder Rosa Says AEW Has No Writers in Their Creative Team

NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa made her debut for All Elite Wrestling last month, and immediately caught the eye of the fanbase with her impressive performance.

Rosa brought new energy to the weak AEW Women’s roster and produced two spectacular matches with Serena Deeb and AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida.

Rosa spoke with WrestlingInc recently and talked about her time with the Jacksonville based promotion.

Rosa has high praise for the way AEW carries out their shows and appreciates the lack of writers backstage, which allowed the wrestlers to have creative freedom.

“It’s very chill. It’s very different from all the companies that I worked before. In Lucha Underground, we had like five different writers, and here, everybody’s kind of like doing their own stories. [It’s] not like there’s a writer, here’s the story, this is what you need to do, this is what you need to convey, and that’s it. Here is completely different.”

Several wrestlers have appreciated the creative freedom at AEW and it seems like Rosa has liked what she has seen so far.

Although Rosa is under contract with NWA, a deal with AEW isn’t far-fetched.

Rosa will defend her NWA Women’s Title on AEW Dynamite this week against Ivelisse.
